Planting the Seeds of Brotherhood: Tinnin Farms Joins Barnside Brotherhood
Barnside Brotherhood is proud to welcome Anna and Nathan Tinnin of Tinnin Farms LLC as our first official Veteran Partners.
For us, this partnership is about much more than horses. It is about two veteran families recognizing a shared mission and deciding to put their experience, knowledge, and passion to work for something bigger than themselves.
Anna and Nathan, along with their daughter Ruby, own and operate Tinnin Farms LLC, a veteran-owned business built around equine and canine training, education, and professional development. Together, they bring more than 55 years of combined experience and a lifetime of service, horsemanship, education, and working with animals.
Both Anna and Nathan know what it means to serve.
Nathan spent 20 years on active duty with the U.S. Army, including service with 5th Special Forces, followed by seven years as a Department of Defense contractor. Anna served six years as an active-duty Military Police Officer. Their military service gave them an understanding of sacrifice, discipline, teamwork, and the importance of having people beside you when the mission gets difficult.
Those same principles are at the heart of Barnside Brotherhood.
Today, Tinnin Farms is recognized for producing quality American Quarter Horses, developing skilled working dogs, and educating the next generation of equine and canine professionals. Their program competes across major equine associations, including AQHA, NRHA, APHA, ABRA, IBHA, and PTHA, with numerous World and Reserve World Championships and national-level accomplishments.
But what impresses us most isn’t simply what they have won.
It’s what they are willing to give back.
Tinnin Farms has built its reputation around developing potential—in horses, in dogs, and in people. Their approach is grounded in correct horsemanship, education, confidence, partnership, and helping others become better at what they do.
That philosophy fits perfectly with what we are building at Barnside Brotherhood.
We believe veterans and first responders don’t need to be treated like they are broken. They need opportunities to challenge themselves, build confidence, develop new skills, and rediscover what they are capable of.
That’s where the partnership with Tinnin Farms becomes so important.
Their experience in horsemanship, breeding, training, farriery, education, and working-dog development gives Barnside Brotherhood another resource to help veterans grow—not just as riders, but as horsemen, leaders, mentors, and members of a community.
Through their partnership with Texarkana College, Tinnin Farms is also helping prepare the next generation of professionals through hands-on horseshoeing education. Their commitment to education and workforce development reflects something we value deeply at Barnside Brotherhood: healing doesn’t have to be passive. Sometimes healing happens when you learn something new, take responsibility, accomplish something difficult, and realize you are capable of more than you thought.
And that is exactly the kind of opportunity we want to continue creating for our veterans and first responders.
The Tinnin family brings more than expertise to the Brotherhood. They bring lived experience.
They understand service. They understand sacrifice. They understand the bond between a horse and its rider. And they understand the importance of having a team beside you.
As Barnside Brotherhood’s first official Veteran Partner, Tinnin Farms represents the beginning of something we hope will become much bigger than any one ranch, horse, or program.
We aren’t just building partnerships.
We’re building a team.
We’re building a network of veterans, families, horsemen, professionals, businesses, and supporters who believe that our nation’s heroes deserve a place to belong, a reason to keep moving forward, and an opportunity to discover what comes next.
We are honored to have Anna, Nathan, and Ruby Tinnin standing with us. Welcome to the Brotherhood, Tinnin Farms.
The gates are open. The work is just beginning
